So baby Kendall is all grown up now! I mean I practically watched her grow up, along with the rest of America who somewhat became obsessed with Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Although having a very public up bringing, Kendall definitely made a name for herself this season with having appearances on runways in New York, London, and Paris that included appearances for Marc Jacobs, Giles, Chanel, and Givenchy. Kendall definitely became “The Girl of The Season,” according to stylist Katie Grand.

Hey Loves! Hopefully everyone enjoyed their new year!
There is so much content i would love to cover this upcoming year and i am so excited! New blessings, yes! More fashion and interviews with other lifestyle- fashion oriented bloggers ! Also, i need to involve you all into the ‘MUST reads’ i have invested in this past christmas! Self-lovng, meditating, and practicing the art of ‘The Now’! I know you’ll enjoy! But as of now, i started to blog about Balmain’s Spring/Summer ’14 ready-to-wear in focus on Rihanna being the centerfold, but i got over that quick. Rihanna’s cool but have you seen the whole collection? If you haven’t check it out HERE on Style.com !
First let me begin by stated that I love Olivier Rousteing as Balmain’s Creative Director! The young man that dropped out of Law School and stated that he did not want to lead a quite life, has left his mark on French haute couture history at the age of only TWENTY-SEVEN! His creations blur the boundaries between couture and ready-to-wear with an architectural approach to tailoring and a flair for baroque embellishment [LOVE! it’s like a classical twist to sexy] His inspiration for Spring/Summer ’14 ready-to-wear was embodied by Yves Saint Laurent and the late french singer ‘Serge Gainsbourg’ with a sexual ambiguity of George Michael and Michael Jackson. What i though was amazing is that his current style icons are Pharrell Williams and Frank Ocean! (i know many of you will appreciate that 😉 ]
His Spring/Summer ’14 collection screams vintage but today, with major added sex appeal and attitude. Also with its 80’s inspired aspect in incorporating denim and chains adds flair to any easy, get up an go look. GO follow his instargam for updated content on Balmain & his artistic insights in the industry HERE !!
Here are some details below, enjoy 🙂
While you all were tuned into Victoria’s Secret fashion show last night, I had other interests 🙂
Last night in a giant hay barn with patriotic French and American flags hanging from the ceilings, Chanel debuted it’s new collection for Fall ’14, Métiers d’Art Show ‘Paris-Dallas’ fashion show.
I know many are asking “Why Texas?” I know I did. Chanel’s presidend Bruno Pavlovsky explains it this way : “America and Dallas in particular provided significant support to Chanel after the Second World War , while the French press published negative reviews. Karl chose the theme and the city that inspired him, and that once had inspired Gabrielle Chanel .
Chanel Paris-Dallas Metiers D’Art is expected to be released in May 2014.
Good Monday Loves!
So yesterday Chanel unveiled archival Marilyn Monroe photos for their NO.5 perfume (which is the worlds best-selling fragrance) for their Christmas campaign. This has been one of the most anticipated advertisements of the season,
Monroe has been associated with Chanel’s perfume in popular imagination ever since she was asked by Life Magazine what she wore to bed. She answered “Chanel No.5.” and now nearly 60 years will have passed between Monroe’s famous declaration and her first appearance as the face of the perfume in an official campaign.
Chanel discovered a previously unreleased recording confirming Marilyn Monroe’s words to Life magazine. The recording was made during an interview conducted by Marie Claire‘s editor-in-chief Georges Belmont in 1960.
The French brand presented two black and white photos linking Marilyn Monroe to her favorite perfume. Taken by American photographer Ed Feingersh, the first show the actress with the bottled fragrance between her hands, delicately perfuming her chest.
The second image was taken by photographer Bob Beerman for an article in the October 1953 issue of “Modern Screen” magazine. The sensual and voluptuous blonde is seen in bed, with a bottle of No. 5 next to her on the bedside table.
Below are some of the beautiful archival photo’s taken, and the actual Chanel No.5 Campaign for this upcoming holiday season. Although, not relevant to today and current, here is my favorite Marilyn Chanel Campaign from back in 2012 (HERE) Enjoy 🙂
